Early Intervention Programme
Recognise These Signs Early and Improve your Child's Quality of Life!
Although each child develops at their own pace and the range of normal development is quite wide, it is helpful to be aware of red flags for potential developmental delays in children. For some parents in Singapore, you may realise that your child is not developing along with their peers or has delays compared to their siblings. These delays are significant lags in one or more areas of emotional, mental or physical growth. If your child is experiencing a delay, early intervention is the best way to help them make progress or even catch up.
What does this mean for your child?
The long-term outcome of the Colibri Allied Care Early Intervention Programme (EIP) is readiness for school, be it at a mainstream or Special Education school in Singapore. We will work towards integrating your child into mainstream preschool settings upon their progress and improvement where possible.
At our centre, your child will be cared for by a special needs teacher and a teacher’s assistant in a private environment. You may also choose to tap on our multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Child Psychologists to work with your child according to their needs. This is subject to an additional fee.
You will receive an Individual Education Plan for your child within 6 weeks of enrolment.
This Individual Education Plan allows the team to work towards achieving the goals set for your child. Each child has their own Individual Education Plan, where goals are set based on the child’s developmental needs as assessed by professionals and in consultation with caregivers. This Individual Education Plan is reviewed together with caregivers every 6 months.
