Customer Reviews

We are extremely pleased with Colibri Allied Care! After just 2 months of attending the Early Intervention Programme, we noticed a significant improvement in Jacob’s speech and toilet habits – he is now diaper-free! Jacob looks forward to going for his classes every day as the teachers and staff are very friendly, patient and dedicated. Thank you so much Colibri Allied Care and God Bless!
Austin has shown tremendous improvements ever since joining Colibri Allied Care in January 2018. Now, Austin is able to achieve more than before. For example, he is able to do tasks when Daddy and I asked him to do so. He is also better at managing his emotions, resulting in lesser tantrums. Austin has also improved greatly in terms of his eye contact. Even though we are still waiting for Austin to speak, my sister has commented that Austin now knows everything! I want to specially thank the teachers Sara Yeowand Wenggie who have been helping and supporting us during these few months. They have always shared with me practical home activities that are easy for me to reinforce and Austin has been responding well to these activities. Thank you teachers and Colibri Allied Care!

Parent Story

My name is Friska, I am a mom of 2 kids. I want to share a story about my kids, especially my oldest one. The success and progress of my oldest child can be attributed to several factors, particularly in terms of his education and development.

When he was 1.5 years old, I noticed that he wasn't as talkative as other kids at his age, which raised concerns. I took him to a paediatrician, who conducted a full assessment and identified areas where he was falling behind. This led to early intervention therapy, including sensory integration therapy (SI), occupational therapy (OT), and physiotherapy.

At the age of 2.5, I enrolled him in a nursery class at a school recommended by my therapy center. I believed that being in a school environment would help him improve his social skill and provide him with ample stimulation. However, when he turned 3.5, it became clear that the school wasn't suitable for him. Then I made a difficult decision to move him to another school, and I could immediately see the positive difference it made in his progress and development. Thus I believe that school also play important part in your child's development.

As my son approached 4 years old, I started thinking about his primary school education. I sought advice from my therapy center's principal, who introduced me to Carol, an expert in curriculum selection. I attended a seminar where I had a brief meeting with Carol, and later traveled to Jakarta to further discuss my son's needs. Carol recommended a special program for him, which became known as the "Early Intervention Program" (EIP). This program combined SI, OT, and physiotherapy and had a significant impact on his development.

In 2020, my son was 6 years old and he is still in K1, the same level as his younger brother. However, his progress has been remarkable, and I have received positive feedback from his school regarding his intelligence, quick learning abilities, and exceptional memory. During a conversation with Carol, I mentioned the difficulty of finding two separate schools for my children. To my surprise, Carol proposed the idea of enrolling my son directly into Primary 1 in June 2020, skip K2. She believed that he was more than capable of handling the transition. This suggestion was both exciting and practical for me, as it meant avoiding the challenge of finding separate schools and ensuring my children wouldn't be in the same level, reducing the chances of bullying.

Following Carol's advice, I arranged a trial for my son at the desired primary school, and he was accepted into Primary 1. He successfully skipped K2 and has continued to excel in his education. He is currently 10 years old and in grade 4 receiving consistent positive feedback from his teachers.

In summary, the success and progress of my oldest child can be attributed to the early intervention therapy, the supportive school environment, the implementation of the EIP program, and the expert guidance of Carol. I am grateful for God's grace and the positive impact these factors have had on my child's education and development.
